TED-Ed brought me on as art director and animator for this episode on the doorway effect, the cognitive phenomenon that explains why a change in physical context wipes short-term memory. I had full freedom to define the visual language from scratch: palette, characters, pacing, and technique.

Characters
There's one main character carrying the story, with secondary characters built in the same visual language to keep the world consistent. I started with quick hand sketches exploring poses and expressions, then refined those digitally to match the final palette and line style.
Every character was designed to animate simply in cel, so poses and proportions stay clean and readable even in fast, hand-drawn motion.
